To Whom it May Concern,
My Husband, Rory and I are organising a sporting event in memory of our son, Nathan Ross Windell. Nathan was born and passed away on the 4th of March 2008 due to medical negligence.
The Event will be held in January 2012. Rory will Run, Walk & Cycle from Cape Town through to East London, over a period of two weeks. The purpose of the Event is to raise awareness and support for parents, siblings and family members who have lost a loved one.
One of our ideas is to create "Baskets of Hope" – these will be baskets filled with blessings & encouragement for grieving hearts. Support and encouragement are vital for the healing process to begin. We also plan to run Grief Support Groups called “Empty Arms” where we will assist bereaved parents in dealing with their grief.
We would be honoured if your company would be willing to assist us in any way; ie. :
· Contribute financially / financial sponsorship per km travelled
· Participate in a leg of the event by running, walking or cycling to raise sponsorship
· Donation of products/samples for our Baskets of Hope
· Donation of gear (running shoes, a road bike, air-time, petrol, travelling vehicle)
· Referral of potential sponsors / organizations that would be able to assist
We are currently in the process of registering a Section 21 Company called “Live In Hope”.
We look forward to your valuable involvement and support.
Kind regards,
Debbi Windell
